Hybrid organic-inorganic porous semiconductor transducer for multi-parameters sensing.
Porous silicon (PSi) non-symmetric multi-layers are modified by organic molecular beam deposition of an organic semiconductor, namely the N,N'-1H,1H-perfluorobutyldicyanoperylene-carboxydi-imide (PDIF-CN2). Joule evaporation of PDIF-CN2 into the PSi sponge-like matrix not only improves but also adds transducing skills, making this solid-state device a dual signal sensor for chemical monitoring....
متن کاملSemiconductor Laser Multi-Spectral Sensing and Imaging
Multi-spectral laser imaging is a technique that can offer a combination of the laser capability of accurate spectral sensing with the desirable features of passive multispectral imaging. The technique can be used for detection, discrimination, and identification of objects by their spectral signature. This article describes and reviews the development and evaluation of semiconductor multi-spec...
متن کاملUse of a-SiC: H Semiconductor-Based Transducer for Glucose Sensing through FRET Analysis
Glucose sensing is an issue with great interest in medical and biological applications. One possible approach to glucose detection takes advantage of measuring changes in fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between a fluorescent donor and an acceptor within a protein which undergoes glucose-induced changes in conformation. This demands the detection of fluorescent signals in the visib...
متن کاملSPICE Modeling of Hybrid Multi-Frequency Ultrasound Transducer
Whereas ultrasound application has been emerging, the need of reliable transducer to comply with that purpose is also aroused. Multi-resonance transducer using lead zirconate titanate piezoelectric ceramics (PZT) was designed several years ago for dual Doppler and B mode use. As polymer material being popular in medical ultrasound, there are chances to combine it with former piezoelectric mater...
متن کاملA Laser-micromachined Multi-modal Resonating Power Transducer for Wireless Sensing Systems
This paper presents the development of a vibration-induced power generator with total volume of 1 cm 3 which uses laser-micromachined springs to convert mechanical energy into useful electrical power by Faraday's law of induction. The goal of this project is to create a minimally sized electric power generator capable of producing enough voltage to drive low-power ICs and/or microsensors for ap...
